In the 1930s, an adolescent happens to witness a murder in the courtyard of the house where his father is located. To free his father from suspicion, he investigates the building himself. He learns that the house is run by a countess, that his own father is the manager and has had an affair with the killer's wife. Can his father still be cleared of suspicion?
