Lilies of the Field plot
"All -- Talking -- Singing"
Mildred Harker is wrongly accused by her husband Walter in a divorce case and she loses custody of her child as a result. Disillusioned and heartbroken, she moves into a cheap hotel. Mildred then becomes an entertainer at the Winter Palace Roof revue in New York where she meets a group of gold-digging lilies. The wealthy Ted Willing becomes her devoted suitor, but Mildred distrusts him and cannot accept his offered financial help.
