Life Begins plot
"Is It a Masterpiece or Menace?"
Convicted and pregnant Grace Sutton is in the maternity ward of the prison hospital. Grace is pregnant by her gangster boyfriend Jed. In the maternity ward, Grace comes into contact with the tough Florette Darien, who, like several other pregnant inmates, wants to trade their unborn child. Under the supervision of the devoted nurse Aline MacMahon, most babies are safely born, only Grace's child dies during birth.
