Neurosurgeon Judith (Ursula Karven) is happily married to her longtime boyfriend, anesthetist Mark (Timothy Peach), when she falls in love with musician Daniel (Bernhard Bettermann). Less fortunate is that just around that time Daniel falls into a coma in an accident. Guess who has to operate on him. And who administers the anesthesia.
