Lettera Napoletana plot

Franco is a meticulous employee of Mister Esposito and will later be his son-in-law. The cashierre and her friend Alvaro steal some money for which Franco is accused. He has no alibi and is locked up in prison. Franco's friend Anna becomes pregnant. Franco - who is also looking forward to her family's legacy - asks her to marry him. But Esposito, an honest man, prefers to face the scandal. When she sees how much misery and suffering she has caused others, the cashier confesses her crime. However, Alvaro wants to avoid at all costs that Esposito goes to the police...
