Let's Make Music plot

Malvina Adams is a music teacher at Newton High. Because her class is getting smaller every year, the school asks her to take early retirement. However, to prove that she still has it in her, she composes a battle song for the school. This song comes into the hands of orchestra leader Bob Crosby, who manages to make it a big hit. Against the protest of her cousin Abby, Malvina travels to New York to sing her song with Crosby's band, making her very popular herself.
