Les Siestes Grenadine plot

Wahid Haydar and his daughter Soufiya return to Tunisia after a long stay in West Africa. Young Soufiya has not seen her French mother in ten years because she was kidnapped by her father. Upon her arrival in Tunisia, she is still imbued with her African heritage. This is not to the liking of her father who wants to make a 'born and raised Tunisian' of the girl. But the country has changed a lot since their long absence and Wahid has to learn to live with that. His daughter, on the other hand, feels trapped and longs for her mother.
