Marie-Claire is a respected dermatologist and university professor who embarks on a new project linking skin cells and sexuality. Marie-Claire loves her husband Adam and is devoted to him. However, she has no interest in depriving herself of sexual pleasure. Her husband knows she is having affairs, but he would rather be blissfully ignorant of the details. That agreement fits Marie-Claire very well. But their 14-year-old daughter's burgeoning sexuality and an ethical university investigation into her project leave her wondering what toll her lifestyle has taken on her family.
