Les Jolies Choses plot
Marie and Lucie are identical twins. At first glance they love each other, but deep down they hate each other. Lucie is the prime example of superficiality. She loves glitzy cars, playboys and decadent sex. Marie, on the other hand, is honest and authentic. No make-up, no trendy clothes, a simple life and only one man: Sébastien. Since Lucie is fascinated by show business, she also gets the opportunity to become a singer. A dream comes true, were it not for the fact that she cannot sing unlike her sister who accepts to replace Lucie on stage. When Marie arrives at Lucie's one night after her performance, she discovers that her sister has committed suicide. This tragedy is a happy accident for Marie: now she can finally lead Lucie's forbidden life.
