Les Clients d'Avrenos plot

Istanbul, the fifties. Two women have arranged to meet at Café Avrenos in the old town. They both mourn the death of the same man: Bernard de Jonsac, clerk at the French embassy. Lélia wants to find out what tied her to Bernard: a relationship that never transcended the platonic. She also wants to deepen his relationship with the Bulgarian barmaid Nouchi.
