Les Amants de Rivière Rouge plot
Canada in the early 1900s. The French cowboy Monge and his inseparable Native American companion Napoleon herd a herd of horses in Canada. On the farm of the O'Molly family, immigrants from Ireland, Monge meets Hannah, the youngest daughter. He falls in love with her and is willing to give up his vagabond existence and settle as a farmer. Napoleon does not understand this decision, feels betrayed and sets off alone into the Rocky Mountains. Four years later, Napoleon reappears.
