"There's no going back to normal."
Amanda and Clay take a vacation to a remote Long Island home. They want to escape their busy New York lives for a while and spend time with their children. One night, homeowners Ruth and GH return horrified from a blackout in Manhattan. The power also seems to be out on site. The two families depend on each other and everyone discovers each other's true nature.

Excellent film in which a family's short vacation does not go as expected. A bit of a post-apocalyptic thriller/drama that has a slightly ominous tone and makes you wonder where it is all going. Beautiful camera work, a great cast and some good dialogue. A bit on the long side, but just 4.0 stars because of the ending.

The cast itself is not bad, but we think it is quite a sleep-inducing film in which not much happens, you expect something to happen towards the end of the film, but then it is over. disappointing unfortunately, they could have done a lot more with it
