Paris, circa 1900. Georges Randal was raised by his wealthy uncle who plays with his will. Georges hopes to marry his cousin Charlotte, but his uncle arranges for her the rich boy next door. As an act of revenge, Georges steals the neighbor's family jewelry and enjoys the experience a theft can have.
