Le Vieux Pays Où Rimbaud Est Mort plot

Abel from Quebec returns to the country of his ancestors, France. He wants to know how much the French have changed. He initially discovers France from the tourist brochures, but then, partly thanks to all kinds of encounters and love relationships, he becomes a witness of how the real France lives, suffers and loves. He then sees how distant the distant relatives in the 'New France' have become from the 'old country'.
