Le Veau d'Or plot

1999: Sami, a 17-year-old French-Moroccan boy, is sent to his cousin Azadade in Morocco by his father, who wants to punish him for his evil deeds. Sami has only one idea in mind: to return to France and see Melanie, his betrothed, again. He decides to steal one of King Hassan II's cattle, leaving his cousin on the Moroccan roads in a pursuit by two overzealous police officers.
