Le Ruisseau plot
An orphaned girl (Gaby Sylvia) escapes from the orphanage and ends up on a ship. She is discovered by an officer with whom she has a brief affair. Feeling a little guilty for taking advantage of the naive girl, the officer sends her to his mother (Françoise Rosay), who is an actress. The mother likes the girl very much and helps her build a career in show business. Everything is going well until the mother finds out that the girl has slept with her son, she sends the girl back to the orphanage. The girl manages to escape again, but this time she is not so lucky.
