Le Quatrième Mur plot
Georges, a politically engaged theatre director, has given up activism. But when Samuel, his best friend who suffers from an incurable disease, urges him to perform Anouilh's Antigone to steal two hours of peace from the Lebanese war, Georges cannot refuse. In Beirut, George quickly discovers the tense atmosphere and all the war conflicts between ethnic groups in the country. The play seems like a glimmer of hope, even as the cloud of an all-consuming war hangs over them. How will the man who has only known rebellion face the reality of the conflict? Will he be able to escape unscathed?
