Le Pique-nique de Lulu Kreutz plot

The town of Evian-les-Bains, where the spring water splashes down the mountains, is the setting for a picnic that Lulu Kreutz organizes for her old friends Joseph and Olga Steg. The Stegs, settled Parisian Jews of Viennese origin, have traveled to the town on the occasion of a concert by their son Jascha. A cellist for whom world fame is gradually beginning to take on a bitter taste. He receives a lot of praise and admiration for his beautiful, sensitive playing, but there is no real private life. The dinner in the fresh air of the mountains, where Jascha's uncle Michel Mazelsky, the violinist Anna and her husband Primo Ghirardi are also present, is the opportunity to recall old memories and old loves.
