Le Héros de la Marne plot

But the war never ends. The father Lefrançois is a prosperous farmer living on the Marne and enlisted as a soldier, went to the front and became blind as a result of an injury. One day he learns that his eldest son - whose marriage he has opposed - has been killed. He welcomes his girl and the baby and also accepts the betrothal to his youngest son.
