Le Chant de l'Amour Triomphant plot

In the 16th century, in Ferrara, two wealthy friends, the musician Muzio and the painter Fabio, fell in love with Valeria, the most beautiful woman in town. She chooses Fabio and marries him. Overcome with grief, Muzio sets out on a journey to eastern lands. A few years later, he comes back as a different person. His experiences and new insights suddenly make him a lot more attractive and interesting to Valeria.
