Laurie plot

Laurie has had a hard life due to abuse in her childhood and struggles with her past. She works in a hospital where she is bullied by her colleagues. Her relationship with daughter Sarah is difficult. Questions about her biological father remain unanswered. Andrew, a new patient, sees more in Laurie than a nurse. He helps her realize that she is not alone in her struggle. Laurie decides to be open with Sarah about their past. Can this candor restore their bond and open Laurie's heart to love?
