Lackawanna Blues plot
"Play it. Sing it. Shout it. Feel it."
The story is told by the young Ruben Santiago, who grows up with 'Nanny' in the 1960s. This woman rents out rooms and has a whole arsenal of colorful people as customers, including drunks, ex-cons, gamblers and musicians. Despite this difficult period for blacks in America, Nanny always tries to make the best of it.
