La Trovatella di Milano plot

Milan, 1848. The group "Carbonari" meets secretly in the basement of an orphanage and prepares an uprising against the Austrians. Maria, an orphan, happens to meet Gabriele, leader of the Carbonari, and they fall in love. Gabriele, who uses the name "Kruber", becomes an assistant to Count Patti, chief of police. Nevertheless, an Austrian patrol surprises the Carbonari during their meeting. All but Maria manage to escape.
