La Tierra y la Sombra plot
Alfonso is an old farmer who returns home to visit his sick son who is in bed. He sees his old house again and the woman who was his wife, his daughter and his grandson. He discovers an apocalyptic landscape. The house is surrounded by extensive sugar cane plantations whose operation causes a continuous rain of ash. Seventeen years after he left his family, Alfonso will try to find his place again and save his family.
