La Sposa Era Bellissima plot

Maria is a beautiful woman, a young 'un-expired widow' in Sicily, whose husband ran away after the birth of their son to work in West Germany and never came back. Her case is typical of many women in the village. But one day, love appears in the form of a young doctor from Milan and for the first time overcomes her doubts and the resistance of her son. She dares to enjoy a man's friendship.
