La Rue sans Joie plot

Jeanne de Romer, daughter of an advisor ruined by speculation and recently deceased, has to support her mother, her grandfather, her younger brother and her sister. She is a simple typist in a real estate company. When her boss is arrested for fraud, she loses her job. The owner of a house for dating is willing to lend her money, but the moment she comes into contact with a cattle dealer who has little honorable intentions, she understands the intentions of her so-called benefactor.
