"Men are animals...I'm here to work, nothing more!"
Pietro, the owner of a rice-growing farm, has taken care of Elena, a poor girl who works on his land with fatherly care. What he doesn't know, however, is that in reality he is also her father, born from a past relationship. Mario, Pietro's nephew, has feelings for Elena, but he is too late, because Gianni steals her from under his nose.
