"Biography about the life of Bernadette Soubirous after she entered the convent."

In Lourdes in southern France - now a place of pilgrimage - Bernadette Soubirous saw the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the last century. The film starts the moment she enters the monastery and several lawsuits are brought against her by the church. Moments of joy alternate with periods of sadness. Bernadette, however, continues to believe in Mary's words: "I cannot promise you happiness in your present life, but in the hereafter."
