La Noche Oscura plot

In the terrible winter of 1577, the Carmelites bring San Juan de la Cruz half-naked on the back of a mule to Toledo. Their goal is to drag him there before an ecclesiastical tribunal. After all, in the time of rifts and inquisitions, choosing to live as a poor, discalced monk in intimate dialogue with God bordered on heresy, if not worse.
