Don Celso is an office worker close to retirement. He is taught in an adult class by a French writer, who makes his students close their eyes as he silently meditates on the verses he quotes. Don Celso looks back on his youth. As a young boy, he had imaginary conversations with Long John Silver and a Chilean Beethoven, whom he describes as his favorite historical figure. Don Celso mixes reality with his fantasy and his dream world.
