La Maman du Bourreau plot
Gabrielle de Miremont is a wealthy octogenarian from the bourgeoisie. Her motto is: 'Never show emotions, they must be hidden at all times'. However, that changes on the morning that a gendarme comes to her to report the death of her beloved son, Father Pierre-Marie. Gabrielle does not let herself go immediately... until the gendarme has left the house. She collapses, but - despite the grief - quickly tries to pull herself together. She also decides to set up an investigation into Pierre-Marie's death herself. A month earlier, a case about paedophile priests had been reported in the press. Could this have something to do with his death?
