La Fiancée du Pirate plot

"The story of the town amateur who lost her standing...among other things."

A poor gypsy woman has died. The villagers are harsh and have no compassion for her daughter Marie. On the contrary, they shoot the only animal she owns, a goat, and abuse her. The girl vows to take revenge mercilessly by speculating on the sensuality of the local country bumpkins and also that of the farmer's wife she is employed by. From an oppressed young woman she develops into a villainous prostitute, who is paid dearly.
