La Classe du Brevet plot

Epernay, October 1948. The BEPC was created to replace the former primary school diploma. This rekindles the war between the private school Sainte-Marie (the school of the pastors) and the public school (the school without God). The gifted Rémi Lagrange, son of the village post office, will be its focal point. But he himself has other things on his mind. He is madly in love with Zoé Lefranc, his French teacher.
