La Casa de la Troya plot

Showing a higher interest in the nightlife and in vaudeville girls than in his textbooks, Gerardo Roquer is sent by his father from Madrid to the University of Santiago de Compostela, with the aim of making him study seriously. There Gerardo ends up in the guest house 'Casa de la Troya', where he becomes good friends with the other students. He also falls in love with the stunningly beautiful Carmiña Castro. But his love is not appreciated by her aunt and uncle, who choose Octavio over him, partly because they also have debts with Octavio.
