In "La Bonne Soupe" Marie-Paule tells her life story to a croupier in a casino. In flashbacks we see her romantic life. Although she has had several men in her life, there was only one she loved the most. He was a bartender who was shot and killed during a robbery. Later Marie-Paule married and had a daughter. She becomes estranged from her daughter after having an affair with her fiancé.
