L'Intrus plot

The story is set in a residence in a monstrous apartment building in the 13th arrondissement of Paris - a new kind of Chinatown. A lonely woman has withdrawn and pretends to have two daughters. A young man shows up who is wanted for minor 'incidents', but he turns out to be tender and innocent and eventually stays with the woman. She confides in him and gradually he finds out that she is getting more and more insane. He tries in vain to save the woman from her dream world, endangering his own life.
