L'Idiot plot

Muichkine, a young Russian prince, returns home to Saint Petersburg after a stay in an institution for the mentally ill. He is determined to display decency and kindness in this rough and cruel world. He is attracted to a young girl just as he is trying to save a less innocent woman. But jealousy and his own naivety bring about an unmitigated tragedy.
