L'Homme des Foules plot
An elderly couple is on holiday in Portugal. One day they break away from the group of tourists. The man faints and is rushed to a hospital. There the doctors determine that he suffers from the 'Stendhal syndrome': too much art and beauty in a short time. But a young psychiatrist (Maria de Medeiros) manages to uncover a completely different truth in conversations. The man has been under great tension for a long time. He was a member of the secret service in the former Soviet Union and worked as a torturer. He sees himself as a victim. But is he prepared not to remain an anonymous 'face in the crowd' for the rest of his life?
