L'Età della Pace plot

An 80-year-old, who fought in the Spanish Civil War, is bitter about his life since then and disappointed at the civility of his son and daughter-in-law, who are waiting for his death to fully occupy his home. He isolates himself in his room and fantasizes about a somewhat younger doppelganger, a liberated natural person with whom he can communicate, in order to go on a definitive 'journey' in his company.
