L'Enfant du Carnaval plot

A young woman, abandoned by her husband, lays her baby down in front of the villa of the wealthy Marquis Octave de Granier, who takes the child inside. She commits herself as a governess, but a close bond develops between the young people. When her husband returns, she sacrifices her happiness for the sake of the child.
