In a languid coastal town in Ethiopia, young fisherman Adisu has to deal with war violence. In order to survive, he leaves his native land and goes into the desert. Often he wanders alone, sometimes he meets someone. Forty years later, an old man sits in a taxi in Liège and thinks about the past. They are worlds apart, but it is the same man.
