L'Amour Conjugal plot

In 1629 Nathan Le Cerf joins the troops of Count d'Anchire. When he becomes involved in a duel, he is accused of breaking the rules for duels issued by Louis XIII. Nathan escapes and flees to the region of Toulouse. There he marries Marthe de Lairac, but in the meantime plans to take revenge. What he does not know, however, is that his wife has also been harboring plans for revenge against Count d'Anchire for years.
