L'Amante Perduto plot

The film is about relationships that are doomed to fail due to cultural differences. The Israeli Adam and Asya love each other very much, each in their own way, but they can no longer express their feelings for each other. Adam wonders why Asya is so sad and if she might have a lover. Meanwhile, a Palestinian boy has fallen in love with Adam and Asya's 13-year-old daughter, who in turn is suffering from her parents' deteriorating relationship. The film is based on the novella The Lover by Abraham B. Yehoshua.
