L'Albero delle Pere plot
Fourteen-year-old Siddharta lives in Rome with his unemployed and drug-addicted mother. His mother has another child with another man. When five-year-old Domittila moves in with her and Siddharta, the responsibility for the girl falls entirely on Siddharta's frail shoulders. An arduous task, especially since Domittila is infected with a serious illness by a hypodermic needle.
