Kuzu plot
According to tradition, the 27-year-old Medine has to serve oven-roasted lamb at the feast for the circumcision of her son, Mert (5 years). Poor but determined, Medine puts the family to work. Ismail, Medine's unemployed husband, worries about his wife's assertive behavior. Mert's older older sister is jealous of the attention Mert is getting and makes him believe he will be slaughtered if no sheep is found. Ismail finds a job in the slaughterhouse. Friends there lead him astray; his weakness makes it even harder to buy the sheep. Medine holds out. Mert has his own motivation to look for an animal and his determination makes him mother's rival. But while she refuses even her grandmother's help, Medine gets help from an unexpected source.
