Krupp - Eine Deutsche Familie plot

An evening in 1957. Arndt, the son and only heir of Afried Krupp, does not live up to the expectations of his grandmother Bertha. After a bitter dispute between Alfried and Bertha, they reminisce about their past. Starting with her childhood, when Kaiser Wilhelm II had a private room in the villa Hügel, he arranged her marriage to Gustav von Bohlen und Halbach. This part of her life spans more than the entire first half of the twentieth century.
