Kravgi Gynaikon plot

Maya (Melina Mercouri) is a famous actress who returns to the theater. She will play the title role in the classic Greek tragedy Medea, in which a mother kills her children. Maya's ex-boyfriend Kostas (Andreas Voutsinas) will direct Medea. When he discovers that American Brenda (Ellen Burstyn) is imprisoned in a Greek prison for killing her children, he suggests to Maya that she meet Brenda in order to better understand her character. Maya agrees and their tense and emotional discussion is mixed with the rehearsals and performance of the piece Medea.
