Korkoro plot
During World War II, a gypsy family travels through France with little Claude, an orphaned child. Arriving in a well-known town, they learn that there is a new law that prohibits roaming. The mayor, Theodore, and the local teacher try to help the family, but in vain. They are imprisoned in a prison camp. Once they escape, they are assigned a piece of solid ground, but it is very difficult for the gypsy family to get used to a lifestyle in a permanent place.
