Klovnen plot
This film is a remake of the 1917 film of the same name, also directed by AW Sandberg. Joe Higgins (Gösta Ekman) is a clown in the traveling circus of circus boss James Bunding (Maurice de Féraudy). Joe is in love with Daisy (Karina Bell), the boss's daughter. On the day of their engagement, Joe receives an offer to perform his show in Paris. It becomes a resounding success and Joe settles in the big city. But his busy new life in the city has a bad effect on his relationship with Daisy.
