Kinshasa Palace plot
In 'Kinshasa Palace', director Zeka Laplaine, playing under the anagram Kaze, searches for a character called Max. In reality, it is his brother, with whom he grew up in Congo. After dropping his children off at a station, he disappeared without a trace, leaving no clue as to his future whereabouts. Kaze, who lives in Paris, embarks on a quest that not only uncovers the complex history of Congo, but also paints a sharp picture of the disruptive influence that history has on a family. Spread over different continents, the depressed and tormented white father, his sister who grew up in a boarding school, Max's children and his wayward black mother who stayed behind in the Congo shed light on sensitivities that had been dormant for years, which are now somewhat open to discussion due to Max's disappearance. . A letter that arrives for Max eventually takes Kaze to Cambodia, where it looks for a while that he will find his brother.
